Children & Youth @ HOPE

 

ANDY JONES (Full time Children & Schools Worker)

 

Children are so important to us that we have employed our own Full Time Children and Schools worker Andy Jones.

 

Andy takes assemblies and lessons in most of the Junior Schools in our area and is responsible for setting up Awesome Kids Clubs in strategic locations.

• Searchers is a weekly club for boys and girls aged 8 – 10 years. A variety of activities are offered by a team of volunteers headed up by Tim Williamson (01953 603595). Searchers begins with free time and tuck. There is then organised games in 2 groups, drinks, a game altogether followed by a Christian story and songs. A weekly subscription of  20p is charged. The club runs between 6:45 pm – 8:15 pm at Fairland Hall, Wymondham.

 

• IGNITE. The Young peoples life group for those of School years 7 to 10 (Age 11 to 15). It is run by Toby, John & Libby Creber, It meets usually at the Toby’s home in Deopham on Mondays from 7:30 pm to 9:15 pm weekly during term time. It’s a great opportunity for Christian young people to grow in their faith in a very relaxed and fun environment. Contact  Toby on  01953 851940 or John on 01953  605928 for more details.

• Awesome is a kids club for primary School Age Children. The Club is high energy, full of fun, songs, games, puppets,prizes and a story or drama.

Every Tuesday during term time 6-7pm  50p entry @Robert Kett Junior School Hewitts Lane, Wymondham.  Also at Barnham Broom (alternate Mondays) and Spooner Row (alternate Wednesdays)

• ZONE. At an appropriate time, the children and young people leave the main service and go to Zone, our Sunday children’s activities, where they meet in age specific groups in separate classrooms. Every month or so, they remain in for an all-age worship service, occasionally including the Breaking of Bread.

The Individual Groups are as follows:-
○ Mini Zone is for all children under the age of 2 years;
○Little Squirts is for children over two years but under school age. This group is lots of fun, with opportunities for play and learning about Jesus;
○Splash is for children in school years 1 and 2;
○Xstream caters for school years 3 to 6;
○Kingdom Network is for those in School years 7 and above.
