Sunday Activities for Children and Youth
Children and youth are an important part of the life of Hope Community Church both on a Sunday as well as in the middle of the week.
Our activities are carried out under the Child Protection Policy of the Church, which may be read here.
On Sundays, normally the children and Young People will worship with the whole congregation for the first part of the service, and are welcome to share in prayer, testimony and words as well as using the flags provided. At an appropriate time, the children and young people leave the main hall and go to Zone, our Sunday children’s activities, where they meet in age specific groups in separate classrooms. Every month or so, they remain in for an all-age worship service, occasionally including the Breaking of Bread.
“The Zone” – a great place to be!
It’s the safe place where anyone aged 0 to 16 can be left by their parents to have fun during the second
half of our Sunday Morning service.
It’s divided into small groups that coincide with school years, so that the activities are age appropriate and accessible for all.
The Individual Groups are as follows:-

Mini Zone: The fun begins here! This is for those under 2 who love to be played with, read to and sung too. There is always someone on hand for a chat when those ‘clingy’ times are maybe a bit difficult;

Little Squirts: is for children over two years but under school age. This group is lots of fun, with opportunities for play and learning about Jesus;

Splash: High energy levels needed to be in this group! Anybody aged between 6 and 8 (to the end of school year 3) will love what is on offer here. Don’t miss the fun to be found here;

|
Xstream: Never a dull moment here! Lots to do for those aged 8 to 11 ( school years 3, 4, 5 and 6). Drama, craft, games music….. where does the list end;

Kingdom Network: Alive and connected and aged between 11 and 16? (school years 7 to 11) then this is the place to be on a Sunday morning. A large group, where friends can easily be made, time to chat and chill, and take part in a range of activities tailored to suit all!

All the activity groups use materials based on the Bible, and seek to share in an age appropriate way the wonderful story we find there. Leaders will encourage the youngsters to grow in their faith and follow Jesus.
